BFP is an independent financial planning and investment advisory firm registered with the New Jersey
Bureau of Securities and the Pennsylvania Securities Commission. BFP is committed to safeguarding the confidential information of its clients.

Our mission is to provide you with superior service along with the peace of mind knowing that your privacy is secure.We want to assure you that we will safeguard privacy about you and your accounts. To serve you better it is important that we collect and maintain accurate personal information about you.

1. We collect nonpublic personal information by means of questionnaires used to provide you with a written financial plan, investment advisory information and/or applications used to open accounts with our affiliated investment financial service providers.

We take great care to safeguard the information we obtain from and about you. Only employees of BFP have access to personal information we obtain in order to provide service on your accounts. We collect information from the following sources:

  • Information we obtain from you on applications and/or other forms such as your name, address, date of birth, social security number and other information you provide such as your assets, income and liabilities. Such information that is required by federal and state securities laws and consistent with the CFP Board Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
  • Information about your transactions, with us, our financial services providers or others; such as types of accounts, account balances, positions, history and investment performance and Information we receive from your other advisors with your permission.

2. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. We do not disclose personal information to third parties unless one or more of the following exceptions applies:

  •  We disclose personal information to our affiliated investment financial service providers to help us process or service your transactions or account (s); including companies that print and mail your account statement.
  •  So that you can learn about products or services such as account and transaction data, to companies, including financial institutions that assist us in maintaining your accounts.  Our affiliates observe the same practices we do to protect the privacy of information about you.
  •  We may disclose or report personal information in limited circumstances where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required or permitted under law, for example, to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities, resolve consumer disputes, perform authentication checks.
  •  For unaffiliated third parties, including financial services companies, consultants and auditors, we also require strict confidentiality in our agreements with them and expect them to keep the information private. Federal and State regulators also may review firm records as permitted under law.
  •  You give us written or oral permission to confer with your other advisers, i.e. accountants, attorneys, etc. Outside of these exceptions, we will not share your personal information with third parties unless you have specifically asked us to do so.

4. We protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information by:

  •  Restricting access to your personal information to our employees for business purposes only
  •  We maintain secure physical and computer environments and procedural safeguards to guard your personal information.
